Volunteer... take time for hands on.
The Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank needs volunteer assistance
during the following times:
- 7:00AM to 3:00PM - Tuesday,
Wednesday, Thursday
- 5:00PM to 7:00PM - First and
third Tuesday of each month
Volunteers are the backbone of our organization. Over 85 regular
volunteers perform the weekly tasks. Typical tasks include:
Food Bank
- Sorting baked goods, produce, canned goods
- Repackaging large quantities of food (such as
rice, oats, beans) into usable units for our clients
- Packaging federal commodities
- Directly serving clients
- Signing in new clients
- Checking off service dates
- Cleaning

Clothing Bank
- Directly serving clients
- Checking off service dates
- Sorting clothing donations
- Hanging clothes
- Cleaning
|
Delivery
- Picking up food at local grocery outlets
|
Handyman
- Minor repairs
- Upkeep
- Inventory
- Cleaning
|
Group Volunteer Opportunities
In addition many service or church groups, school classes and
youth organizations give time by scheduling evening hours to come
in and volunteer to help when there are special project needs.
Even a donation of 2-3 hours a week is a great help or if you
